My Creative Path

My creative journey is woven through a lifelong interest in artistic expression, the thoughtful logic of technology, and the endless inspiration I find in the natural world. As an interactive arts and media professional, I’m driven to bring innovative ideas to life in ways that resonate. My background in computer science, paired with a B.A. in Interactive Arts and Media from Columbia College Chicago, helps me comfortably bridge different fields, creating web solutions and collaborating on digital projects. I approach each task with careful design and efficient execution, and have had the privilege of working with organizations such as the Forest Preserves of Cook County, The Sick Muse, Hydro, Inc., Cognizant, Clovis, Inc., The Lyric Exchange, Aon, and Century 21 S.G.R.

Visual Art

At the heart of my visual art is a deep respect for the transient beauty of nature. My paintings and drawings often begin with immersive en plein air studies, where I try to capture the elusive light and vibrant life I've observed during my travels—from the mountains of Yosemite and rainforests of the Caribbean to the deserts of the American Southwest and historic European cities. Every brushstroke and line is an invitation to pause, to reconnect with our environment, and to appreciate its ever-changing grace. Drawing from the legacies of Impressionist and Surrealist masters, my process aims for each piece to tell a distinct, emotionally resonant story. I'm grateful to have shown my work in exhibitions, including the Harvest Market Pop-Up and the EXPO + OPAL Members Show at the Oak Park Art League.

Music & Sound

Beyond visual art, I also explore the realm of sound, creating intricate sonic landscapes under the alias alixplox. My solo releases, such as the atmospheric Cosmic Cruise (2022) and the reflective Hadal Rain (2022), blend ambient textures with experimental sound design, inviting listeners into immersive auditory journeys. My creative spirit also thrives through collaboration, and I truly enjoy working with other talented artists to bring new visions to life. I contribute as a co-writer, producer, and performer in the band Circus in the Sea, notably on albums like Holly the Spectre (2018) and Incognito (2015).

Commissions & Inquiries

My work, whether expressed through code, paint, or sound, is always driven by a desire to make genuine connections, spark curiosity, and inspire discovery. I'm always open to exploring new creative possibilities. If you're considering a custom commission, a collaboration for an exhibition, or a unique project partnership, I invite you to get in touch.
