About Me

I work at the intersection of art, technology, and the natural world, crafting experiences that inspire reflection, curiosity, and connection. My practice spans visual art, interactive media, and layered soundscapes—blending digital tools with natural materials to create immersive, thoughtful work.

I hold a B.A. in Interactive Arts and Media from Columbia College Chicago (2015) and have since explored spaces where creativity meets technology. My professional experience includes web development, project management, digital marketing, and ecological preservation. These perspectives—both behind the screen and in the field—inform the themes, materials, and narratives in my work. I have collaborated with organizations such as the Forest Preserves of Cook County and companies including Hydro, Cognizant, Clovis, and Century 21.

Visual Art

My art captures fleeting moments of everyday life, the delicate beauty of flora and fauna, and experiences from my travels—expressed through an impressionistic lens. Drawing on urban sketching and nature journaling, I explore India ink, vibrant acrylics, colored pencils, and other experimental techniques to create layered, expressive narratives. Each work reflects a dialogue between observation and imagination, blending the textures, colors, and rhythms of the natural world with personal interpretation.

In my Healing Landscapes series, I reclaim wood from invasive trees and shrubs, allowing its natural grain and imperfections to guide the composition. These pieces explore impermanence, transformation, and the quiet poetry of nature while supporting native wildflowers and woodland restoration.

My work has been exhibited at venues including the Oak Park Art League and Art City, and original pieces are available online.

Music and Sound

Under my solo project alixplox, I create layered, atmospheric soundscapes using vintage synthesizers, drum machines, and modern production tools. Albums such as Cosmic Cruise (2022) and Offworlds (2021) explore melancholic, cinematic textures and have been featured in video games, podcasts, and other media. Each piece guides the listener through a textured sonic journey, combining digital and analog elements.

I also co-write, produce, and perform with the band Circus in the Sea, contributing to albums such as Holly the Spectre (2018) and Incognito (2015). Over the years, we have performed at Chicago landmarks including Subterranean, Beat Kitchen, and The Hideout, sharing the stage with both local and national acts.

Let's Connect

I welcome commissions, gallery exhibitions, and collaborative projects. If you have an idea or vision you’d like to bring to life, I would love to hear from you and explore how we can create something meaningful together.
